Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Fraire-Robinson Garage Inventory system collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The system is a private household tool operated by Sean Robinson for members of the Fraire-Robinson household. It is not a commercial service, and the public cannot sign up.
Information we collect
- Email address. Used to sign you in and to send sign-in codes and optional inventory emails.
- Mobile phone number. Collected only if you choose to receive text messages, and used only to send those messages.
- Inventory information you enter. Item names, quantities, locations, purchase and expiration dates, notes, and label codes.
- Activity history. A record of who added, changed, or removed items, and when.
- Photos. Pictures you take of bins, drawers, items, and food packages. They are stored privately so household members can see what's inside. They may also be processed to suggest item lists or read expiration dates.
- Sign-in passkeys. The system stores only a public key. Your Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode never leaves your device and is never sent to us.
How we use information
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To show and update the household inventory.
- To send the text messages and emails you opted in to, such as the garage shopping list or items about to expire.
- To keep a history of changes so household members can see what changed.
- To show photos of what's stored, and to suggest item lists or read expiration dates from them.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Text messages
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Your phone number is used only to deliver the messages you agreed to receive. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. See the Terms of Service for full text message terms.
Service providers
The system runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which provides hosting, data storage, sign-in, email delivery, text message delivery, and photo processing. AWS processes this information only to provide those services to us. We do not share your information with anyone else, except if required by law.
Storage and security
Information is stored in AWS data centers in the United States and is encrypted in transit and at rest. Only invited household members can sign in, and signing in requires a device protected by a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
How long we keep information
Inventory information, photos, and activity history are kept until they are deleted. Records of text message opt-ins and opt-outs are kept as long as needed to honor your choice and meet messaging rules.
Your choices
- Stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, or by turning texts off in the app.
- Ask to see, correct, or delete your information by contacting us below.
Children
This system is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
